Several PWRBA beekeepers have attained Qualified and/or Certified Beekeeper status in Virginia.

Qualified beekeepers: Terence Hasham, David Wright, Melchis Hasham, and Keith Fletcher.

Virginia Master Beekeeper Program Tests Offered 11/4 and 11/5

Testing for the Virginia Master Beekeeper Program will be offered November 4^th and 5^th in conjunction with the Virginia State Beekeepers Association Semi-annual Meeting. Written tests for the Qualified and Certified level will be available Friday night, November 4^th, beginning at 7:00 pm in the Multipurpose Rooms of Plecker Workforce Center at Blue Ridge Community Center. The tests will again be available at 5:30 pm on Saturday, November 5^th, immediately following the VSBA meeting in the Multipurpose Rooms. The fee for each test is $25.00. Both levels require field testing which will be administered at a later date. Qualifications and study guides for the Qualified and Certified levels are available on the VSBA website, www.virginiabeekeepers.org/content/master-beekeeper-program.

Prince William Regional Bee School (2012 classes) Open House will be on Sat. Nov 12th from 1-3pm at the Manassas Church of the Brethren, 10047 Nokesville Road (Route 28), Manassas, VA
Meet beekeepers, see woodenware and beehive displays, beekeeping catalogs, books, etc. A Presentation on Beekeeping will be at 1:30 pm.

Class registration will open at the open house. CLASS REGISTRATION HAS FILLED UP EVERY YEAR. If you are seriously interested, we strongly encourage you to attend this open house and/or give Louise a call. There will be very similar classes in Fairfax, Alexandria, Centreville, Loudoun, Culpepper, Woodstock, and Winchester offered by the Northern Virginia Teaching Consortium and other regional beekeeping clubs.
