Bee Club meetings will not be happening in May. We encourage everyone to reach out to fellow club members and/or any PWRBA officer for support with your beekeeping as needed.

After a mild winter and an early Spring nectar flow in March, April proved to be unseasonably cold, windy, and wet, yet there were many swarms and many after swarms. Be on the lookout that your colony or split was successful making a new queen and has a newly mated queens- mating weather for queens was challenging this month.

There have been several emails sent out of free web/internet based beekeeping classes and other educational opportunities and we hope some of you have taken advantage of them- maybe you can share something you have learned.

Stay safe and enjoy the bees
